Flood Alert (15-16 February) - Be Prepared

Sent on Behalf of the Herefordshire Council’s Resilience Team

Dear all,

We have been notified that heavy rainfall is expected in South Wales this weekend (15 – 16 February) and that this will have an impact on rivers within Herefordshire. Whilst early indications are still unclear, river levels could rise to the same level as experienced in October 2019. At this stage we would encourage people in the county to closely monitor information provided by Herefordshire Council, the Met Office and the Environment Agency and be prepared to take appropriate action.

For the latest information visit, follow @HfdsCouncil on twitter, call the Environment Agency’s Floodline 0345 988 1188 and follow @EnvAgency on twitter.

To monitor flood warnings and alerts for your area or to sign up for flood warnings visit

To report flooding, call 01432 261800.

Herefordshire Council will continue to share relevant information as it becomes available.

It may be helpful for you to share this with your local contacts in your community.

Kind regards
